The Full Story

Our Mission

To transform human conditions in remote areas across the globe holistically. By partnering with indigenous villages, we empower communities through sustainable practices that ensure long-term food and water security.

Our work is designed to address immediate needs and create lasting solutions that will uplift future generations. Together, we are committed to building a better, more sustainable world—one village, one well, and one life at a time.

Our Origin

Founded by Shawn and Merrily York of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Isaiah’s House International responds to a global calling. Our journey began in 2010 when Shawn was sent to Haiti in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake. There he experienced what he describes as a "holy discontent"—an awakening to the overwhelming human suffering he witnessed. This pivotal moment ignited a passion that led to years of study, emergency response work, and humanitarian efforts.

After much prayer, Shawn and Merrily felt the calling to continue these efforts with their own organization, and Isaiah's House International was born.

IHI Today

Today, Isaiah’s House International focuses on sustainable development in Zimbabwe, Africa. The organization partners with indigenous villages to secure long-term food and water security. We operate over 70 water wells and agricultural plots that impact more than 25,000 people in the Savé Valley Conservancy. With a holistic approach, the Yorks and their teams work to empower communities, ensuring both survival and dignity for the people they serve.

Protecting Nature

We also partner with private game preserves to protect wildlife and the ecosystem. By providing water, education and game management, we help both animals and people survive droughts. This partnership ensures that Zimbabwe's people and wildlife thrive together.

At Isaiah's House International, we're committed to creating lasting change. Our work bridges the gap between immediate relief and long-term sustainability. We are working for a future where communities are self-sufficient and in harmony with their environment. Join us in our mission to transform lives and preserves nature in Zimbabwe.
